SING SING SING

A Performing Vocal Ensemble for kids (Ages 6-13)

Coached and accompanied by In the Pocket NYC musicians, SING SING SING rehearses weekly in small class-groups that combine to perform together with a professional band throughout the year.  

No previous vocal experience is necessary.  Our instructors work with kids of all levels, teaching the basics of vocal technique and performance preparation.  

SING SING SING provides kids with the opportunity to sing together every week and bring live music to their community!  See below for rehearsal times and tuition.

Rehearsal Sections: 

Location: The Sheen Center, 18 Bleecker St (Starting September 20)

  • Wednesdays 3:30-4:45 (ages 6-9) 
  • Wednesdays 4:45-6:00 (ages 10-13)*

*By invitation/audition only.  Please email to inquire.

Location: Ripley Grier Studios, 520 Eighth Ave (Starting September 23)

  • Saturdays 10:00am-11:15 (ages 6-9)
  • Saturdays 11:15-12:30 (ages 10-13)

Tuition:

$350/semester  (Early Bird Special: $315; available through August 16, 2017)

  • Students receive 1 SING SING SING T-Shirt for the year.  Additional T-Shirts are available for purchase.

Andres Quintero

Teaching Artist.  Originally from Caracas, Venezuela. National tours: Altar Boyz. Regional/NY Theatre: Independence: A Story of Revenge (La Jolla Playhouse), Rent (Gateway Playhouse), Giant (Signature Theatre, VA), Altar Boyz (Sacramento Music Circus), Temple of the Souls (Theatre for the New City), Greenwood Tree (NYMF). Film/TV: Law and Order SVU, Madam Secretary, Odd Mom Out, Gaymers, Romance and The Digital Age. Andres is a singer songwriter and a member of the Indie pop group Private Alien. www.andresquinteroactor.com

Chelsea Feltman

Teaching Artist. Chelsea is a singer, actor, and teaching artist who is rounding out her first year with SSS. She is an active performer of opera, art song, chamber music, and theater, and is passionate about promoting new works and sharing music with young audiences. As a private teacher, she loves helping people of all ages find confidence through their voices. This month, she appears as Puck in Gramercy Opera's adaptation of Purcell's The Fairy Queen.  Chelsea's biggest inspirations include Beyoncé, Chance the Rapper, Robyn, and Lady Gaga. She was recently seen belting out a mean "oops I did it again" at karaoke in Brooklyn, where she resides.
