IN THE POCKET NYC, a non-profit collective of Teaching Musicians, unites and supports a select group of musicians who devote themselves to nourishing the presence of quality live music and music education in NYC.
Study With Us
Private Lessons For Adults - Study privately with a professional musician who will help you achieve your musical goals. Whether you are picking up an instrument for the first time or you have years of experience, our Teaching Musicians are happy to work with you at a pace that fits your needs.
Private Lessons For Kids - Having a musical mentor to teach and inspire your budding musician is an invaluable journey that will enhance your child's life for years to come. Our Teaching Musicians provide structured weekly lessons focusing on proper technique of the instrument as well as carefully-chosen repertoire to expose your child to the joys of musical study and performance! Along side their peers and mentors, students have the opportunity to perform in our Dedicated Recital Series, gaining valuable performance experience while contributing their music to a charitable cause.
Group Classes For Kids - Since music is frequently a collaborative endeavor, studying in a group of your peers can be both fun and effective!
SING SING SING - (Kids ages 6-13) This performing vocal ensemble, coached by professional singers and accompanied by a professional band, rehearses weekly in preparation for Pop Music Shows throughout the year. This group has performed on reputable New York City stages such as The Bitter End and The National Opera Center.
Beginning Clarinet Class - Coming in 2016!
